WE ARE TAKING A BREAK FROM DECEMBER 25TH-JANUARY 8TH 2026. ORDERS PLACED BETWEEN THESE DATES WILL BE PROCESSED AND DISPATCHED ON JANUARY 9TH 2026.

Where can I find the altitude, processing and varietals on the coffees I have purchased?

On every product page, we have a downloadable pdf that contains all the information you may be looking for for the coffee. Download it and keep it for reference!

Can I get a sample before purchasing?

To help streamline our process, we will not be offering samples (green or roasted) for online orders. Samples are for wholesale customers who are purchasing large (palletised) volumes of green coffee. If you have any questions around a particular coffee that you are interested in, please get in touch at trade@opalcoffee.nz and we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have!

I regularly buy my favourite coffee but it is not in stock. When can I expect it to be back in stock?

Because coffee is an agricultural product, it is subject to seasonality. We like to try and keep ongoing blenders available but our single offerings are most likely to change season to season. This may be because some coffees are a one-off purchase for us also. It is important to remember that even when we purchase the same coffee from the same farm/cooperative, flavour characteristics can change from one season to the next.

Can you share the moisture and water activity of the coffee I have purchased?

Absolutely! Just flick us an email (trade@opalcoffee.nz) and let us know what coffees you’d like the readings of.

Do you ship internationally?

No. Our Opal Coffee New Zealand online store only ships domestically due to green coffee being a raw product which would require phytosanitary certificates for each coffee to send overseas.
We have an Australian online store and a United States online store also. Please feel free to check these out if you are located there.

Does Opal sell roasted coffee?

No, we only sell specialty green coffee. We have an Australian online store and a United States online store also. Please feel free to check these out if you are located there.

What sizes of bags do you sell online?

Our online bag sizes for purchase are 1kg, 2kg, 5kg, 10kg, 20kg. We sell a variety of sizes suited for home roasters, micro-roasters or roasters looking for a small volume of coffee (limited single origin to put on offer).

What is the smallest volume I can order?

Depending on the quantity of the current stock online, you can purchase as small as 1kg. This will be subject to change and availability of what we have listed on the products. Please note, not all coffees listed will have 1kg quantities available. We also have Green Bean Blends at 1kg volumes as well as our Sample Sets which contains 1kg of 4 different coffees.

What is the largest volume (kg) I can purchase through your online store?

Due to courier freight restrictions, we have a limit of 59kg. If you are looking to purchase more than 59kg, please get in touch (trade@opalcoffee.nz) to discuss shipping options.

How long does shipping take?

For North Island deliveries, it can take between 3-7 days. For South Island deliveries, please allow 2-5 days.

Does Opal Coffee have wholesale pricing?

Yes, we do for larger sack sizes 60kg+. Please get in touch with us here: trade@opalcoffee.nz
